ABOUT


Donya Majidi-Maguire is a British-Iranian editor based in London with almost a decade of experience editing short films, independent features, and broadcast factual. Her editing work has been recognised at festivals worldwide, including the BFI Film Festival, BIFA Awards, RTS Awards, and the BAFTAs. She recently edited Crab Day, which won Best Short Animation at the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards.

An alumna of the National Film and Television School’s Editing MA, Donya received a full scholarship from ScreenSkills and Duncan Kenworthy’s Toledo Productions. In 2024, she was selected for the BBC Comedy Collective, a professional development programme for emerging scripted comedy talent. She has since worked as an assistant editor on multiple BBC and A24 comedy-drama series, including Such Brave Girls (S2), Dreaming Whilst Black (S2), and Smoggie Queens (S2).

Passionate about fresh voices, she is always seeking to collaborate with emerging talent. She is highly skilled in Avid, Premiere and table football.
