Mesbah Msheelm and his three sons have lost their Danish residence permits. He now fears they will either be sent back to Syria or scattered across other countries. Amidst the grief of recently losing his wife to cancer, Mesbah finds the energy to fight for his family to stay in Denmark. Fatherland is a touching and hopeful film about the challenges of the immigration system.
